The EUVECA podcast series Tailored by DNA – The future of personalised medicine is now available online. The series explores how personalised medicine is reshaping healthcare systems across Europe and what this transformation means for health professionals, educators and patients.
Hosted by Alexis Strader, Director of Policy and Research at the European Health Management Association (EHMA), the series brings together experts, practitioners and patient representatives to examine the scientific, organisational and ethical dimensions of personalised care. Across six episodes, the podcast addresses topics such as genomics, biomarkers, oncology and haematology applications, health data and artificial intelligence, as well as the patient perspective.
The series focuses on key challenges and opportunities for healthcare systems, including how personalised approaches are changing drug development and oncology care; the competencies health professionals need to work with genomics and health data; the evolution of education and training to support personalised healthcare pathways; and the role of ethics, equity, health literacy and patient involvement in personalised medicine.
Designed as a teaching and learning resource, the EUVECA podcast can be used in higher education, continuing professional development and interprofessional training. Each episode is accompanied by clearly defined learning outcomes, supporting reflection, discussion and practical application in educational and professional settings.
The podcast series is accessible via the Edu4Health platform. Users are required to create a free account on the platform in order to access the episodes.
