(ESNO)

The European Specialist Nurses Organisation (ESNO) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster communication and cooperation between European Specialist Nurses Organisations and its constituent members. In the interest of public health, ESNO advocates the common interests and advantages of these organizations to the broader European society. Individual European specialized nursing organizations are ESNO members.

Role in the project:

ESNO is the collaborator with overall responsibility for dissemination and will develop the project’s regional and European dissemination strategy, as well as a plan for scaling up EPVE beyond the project’s duration. Along with ECHA, EHMA, and SDEO, EHMA is in charge of distributing at the European level, including the project website, e-newsletters, webinars, scientific papers, and the concluding European conference.

Challenge

 

The sustainability of the European health care sector has been challenged by 6 mega trends over the last several years. To respond to these trends and achieve maximum care quality, patient safety, efficiency, and economic sustainability, the sector has undergone major changes:

(ii) A shift towards patient-centered care 

(iii) Greater patient involvement in in co-designing care pathways
